Iconography
Earl is deliberately icon-light. A small set of marks covers brand surfaces and internal tooling. Anything else gets drawn inline in the same monoline style, never imported from an icon library.
Icons
Brand marks (CTA arrow, guardrail arrows, LinkedIn, AI Labs ellipse) are for external surfaces. App icons drive internal tooling only and never appear on marketing pages.
Style rules
If a glyph isn't in the system, draw it inline in the same style. Never reach for Material Icons, Lucide, Heroicons, or Font Awesome on Earl-branded surfaces.
Do
- Stroke-only, monoline at 1.4 weight
- 24×24 viewBox where possible
- Round line caps and joins
- Inherit colour via
currentColor - Match the diagonal trajectory of the CTA arrow
Don't
- Import an icon library on the marketing site
- Mix filled and stroked icons in one set
- Use detailed multi-colour glyphs
- Add drop shadows or gradients
- Invent partner-style icons (cog, wrench, robot)
